Local Info
The town has a population of just over 3000, It was a very wealthy town during the communist occupation, many of the houses here a very big. It has its own municipality, hospital, large school, police station, fire station, train station (direct to sofia, Varna and Dobrich), It also has a ski slope in the winter with a drag lift, There is a post office and telephone exchange so there is broadband internet, there is an internet cafe and many bars/cafes and resteraunts.
Between here and other villages the landscape is beautiful, there are many farm fields which grow wheat, corn and the most beautiful, sunflowers.
The locals are very friendly and there is a small contingency of English living in and around Valchi-Dol who are also very nice people.
